Aunt Diana

Location : Bermuda

Nominated by : Hermione Rivison

This is a picture of my Aunt Diana in her 90’s. She died in 2019 but I still get inspired by all the things she did, even into her nineties. She sailed, she gardened, she played a wicked game of croquet, she loved family and friends and was always up for a party. She went travelling with grandchildren and would always be there for advice, for encouragement and for solace.

I lived with her for a year and she was always interested in what others were doing; she was fascinated by history and read all sorts of books and articles.

She didn’t care about fashion but always wore sensible shoes and had an eye for a bargain at a thrift store.

Her advice for a bad moment – eat a spoonful of peanut butter!
