Susan's Story :
Having been born and raised in Peterborough, it was a natural progression for me to move back to this area and start my own family once my professional career was underway.
In 2005, I married Aaron and two years later, we welcomed our first bundle of joy into our family, to be followed in 2010 by his amazing little sister. These kids sure do keep us on our toes –
whether it’s spending time at arenas or dance studios, or road trips near and far to explore their latest interests – and I love seeing the world through their eyes!
After nearly 15 years commuting out of the city for work, and having missed countless events with friends and family, I took a huge leap of faith and started my own private practice in the city that I
am proud to call home. Soon after making this decision, I was fortunate enough to be hired to teach in the School of Health and Wellness at Fleming College. I have not looked back with regret for one moment, but instead I continue to look forward to the future and its immeasurable opportunities.
The support that I have received from friends and family throughout this journey does not go without deep gratitude and I hope that I have expressed it to each and everyone of them – if not, THANK YOU!
What an honour to be nominated for Inspire, alongside women and girls who have such impact in their communities! I hope that my passion for life, be it in the clinic, the classroom, or in everyday life, is likewise conveyed to all with whom I come into contact.
Yours in health,
