Her Story

Kayla Andreoli

Business Account Manager - RBC Royal Bank

Kayla's Story :

I found this article very difficult to write as I don’t think of myself as inspirational or a symbol of feminine strength; but I am honoured to be nominated for this amazing project.

Peterborough is my home.  It is where I was born and raised.  I am doubly lucky that most of my family still resides in Peterborough too.  I have so many memories here: it is where I went to school and played competitive sports.  It is where I met my husband, where I was married and where I am raising my daughter.  It is no wonder, that giving back to our community is so important to me and my family.

As a professional in the finance industry I am proud of my journey to this point; and truly enjoy my work.  I love being able to engage and support our vibrant community; and having a great employer like RBC affords me these opportunities.  Whether it’s financial literacy or business planning with great local organizations like JA (Junior Achievers) or The Innovation Cluster, I feel humbled by opportunities to help future generations thrive.  Being nominated for this amazing project by a student I mentored through JA means so much to me.

As a mother of a five-year old daughter, I am able to draw inspiration from her presence and humour.  Along with my amazing husband, we want to ensure she has every opportunity to learn, grow, laugh, play and be happy in this world.  It is important to us, that she learn to appreciate the little things in life, and to give back to others.
