Kerry’s Words : Genuine Tenderhearted Dedicated
Kerry’s Story :
The path that brought me here would be; fate.
I had always wanted to be a secretary, like my amazing Mom, but I didn’t think that I could do it. My Dad was in the medical field, so it is funny that I would become a medical secretary.
To help women through their pain and joy is what I love most about my job.
I have had the privilege to work for two great Gynecologists; Dr. Joseph Zahradnik, and Dr. Susan Pakenham. They both mean so very much to me.
So the last 8 years has been a roller coaster of fun…and tears. Every day women call me with a problem, and I get to talk them down off the fence, or at least try. I get to use my experiences and help others. Being a woman has helped with the gyne patients and understanding the joys we go through every month, and through the years. And having three kids and having lost one, has helped me guide the OBs and others in similar positions.
We went through a terrible time as a family, so it is kind of surprising that I am still work where I do. But it is the women that I have helped and that have helped me through that time; make the reason clear. As is the fact that the little girl we lost came to both my husband and I in a very similar dream, at different times, was very comforting.
Like Vince Lombardi said “The greatest accomplishment is not in never falling, but in rising again after you fall”. (Vince Lombardi was a coach of the Green Bay Packers from 1959-1967.
For those who don’t know me- I love The Packers!) And we definitely did rise; that next year our third child was born. He is a sweetheart and very loved!
As hard as it still is, helping the mothers and women of all ages smile…makes me smile again too…if not
just for that call or chat. So fate has given me a great job.
